$50,000 Donation
Presented to Local American Red Cross Chapters

September 2005 - On Tuesday, September 13, 2005 a check for $50,000
was presented by Ridgefield Bank and Fairfield County Bank,
divisions of Fairfield County Bank Corp., to the Executive Directors
of the Western Connecticut and Mid-Fairfield County Chapters of the
American Red Cross.
The donation will go towards the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief
Fund which will help to provide immediate disaster relief and
long-term aid in the form of supplies, technical assistance, and
other support needed at shelters throughout the devastated areas hit
by the hurricane. The local American Red Cross chapters will also
use the Bank’s donation to assist evacuated and displaced families
from the disaster affected areas who have begun arriving in
Connecticut seeking shelter with relatives and friends.

The American Red Cross Mid-Fairfield County Chapter serves the towns
of Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Wilton. The American Red Cross of
Western Connecticut serves seventeen towns in Western Connecticut
including Danbury, Ridgefield and Redding.
Fairfield County Bank Corp. includes the Ridgefield Bank division
with branches in Ridgefield, Georgetown and Wilton and the Fairfield
County Bank division with branches in Darien, Fairfield, Norwalk,
Rowayton and Westport.
