Fairfield County Bank
Holds Annual Meeting
August 2005 -
Fairfield County Bank, a billion dollar mutual community bank
headquartered in Ridgefield, Connecticut recently held its 134th
Annual Meeting. Strong earnings were reported for 2004 with growth
rates as follows: 12% asset growth, 20% loan growth, 10% deposit
growth and 12% equity growth.

President and CEO of Fairfield County Bank stated that the Bank’s
strength and stability, complete offering of traditional and
innovative products and services, commitment to the highest level of
customer satisfaction, convenient locations, local and responsive
decision making, and community support continue to differentiate
Fairfield County Bank from the mega-banks and other competitors.
Fairfield County
Bank operates two divisions: Ridgefield Bank with 5 branches in the
towns of Ridgefield, Georgetown and Wilton and Fairfield County Bank
with 10 branches in the towns of Darien, Fairfield, Norwalk,
Rowayton, and Westport. A new full-service branch is scheduled to
open in the Tunxis Hill area of Fairfield at 255 Tunxis Hill Road and will
become the Bank’s 3rd office in that town.
At the Annual
Meeting, the following individuals were elected Corporators of the
Bank:
John F.
Fallon is an Attorney at Law who
specializes in the areas of land use, real estate and municipal
law. He has extensive experience in municipal planning and zoning
issues, having represented private developers, financial
institutions, corporations and municipalities in a wide variety of
land use matters. In addition to his private practice in Fairfield,
he has served as the Town Attorney for Trumbull, Connecticut. Mr.
Fallon has served previously as Legal Counsel to the Connecticut
General Assembly Judiciary Committee and the Senate Majority of the
Connecticut State Senate. A former member of the House of Delegates
of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Judicial Review Counsel
of the State of Connecticut, Mr. Fallon has lectured extensively on
topics involving land use and authored numerous articles on planning
and zoning in various professional publications.
Mr. Fallon received
a B.A. from Fairfield University and his J.D. from Fordham
University School of Law. He served in the United States Army Active
in Reserve from 1971 to 1976. A member of Fairfield University’s
President’s Circle, he is a past member of the Board of Directors
for the University’s Alumni Association. Mr. Fallon is a former
member of the Police Commission for the Town of Fairfield and has
also served as Chairman of the Board of Education. Mr. Fallon
resides in Fairfield with his wife and has three daughters.
Stephen P. Fogerty,
Attorney at Law, is Managing Partner of the Fairfield County office
of Halloran & Sage LLP located in Westport. Mr. Fogerty is a member
of the American Board of Trial Advocates, National Board of Trial
Advocacy, American Law Firm Association, Defense Research Institute
and American Inns of Court. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial
Advocate. Mr. Fogerty has served as Board President of Catholic
Family Services of Fairfield County. An honors graduate with a B.A.
in Philosophy from Catholic University of America, Mr. Fogerty
received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He resides
in Wilton with his wife and has two children.
Stephen M. Hicks
is President and Owner of Southridge Capital Management LLC and is
also the Owner of Greenfield Capital Partners LLC, both located in
Ridgefield. He is the Chairman and Owner of Petals Decorative
Accents LLC. Mr. Hicks serves on the Board of the Ridgefield
Community Center, is the Chairman of the Ridgefield Fountain
Restoration Committee and is a Trustee of the Keeler Tavern Museum.
He graduated from King's College with a B. S. in Business
Administration and received his MBA in Finance from Fordham
University. Mr. Hicks lives in Ridgefield with his wife and two
children.
